About the course

An agent that uses the right sources

Describe how the agent should select products and check stock.
  5. 05

Reserve goods by updating SharePoint when conditions are met. Send other valid requests for manual review.
What you'll learn

From question to action

Employees can describe what a showroom needs without searching the catalogue, stock list and replenishment rules themselves. In the course, the agent uses those sources to suggest a product and check whether it can be ordered. Once the request is confirmed, the flow can reserve the item in SharePoint.

You see how the agent can gather the right information and decide on its next step without every path being built as a fixed conversation flow. A skill holds your company's way of working and its rules so the agent can use them when the task calls for it.

After the course you can

  • Build an internal agent with a catalogue and live SharePoint data
  • Create a skill that captures the agent's way of working
  • Connect an agent flow that updates SharePoint or routes requests for review

Questions about the foundation course

No. This course is about the GitHub Copilot harness inside Microsoft Copilot Studio, which controls how the agent works. It is not about GitHub Copilot as a developer tool.

No. The courses stand alone and show two different ways of building agents in Copilot Studio.

It is a set of instructions for a specific way of working. In this course, the skill helps the agent select products, check stock and assess replenishment rules.

After the employee confirms, the agent flow checks stock and the rules. If the conditions are met, the flow updates the reserved quantity in SharePoint. Otherwise the request goes to manual review and the stock list stays unchanged.
