Claude Code
An AI tool that lives in the terminal and your codebase. It's about more than pace: delegate whole tasks, understand unfamiliar code and automate routine work, with control staying with you.
From the first command to workflows that hold up
A hands-on course where you work in a real codebase. We go from the basics to workflows where you delegate whole tasks to Claude and keep the quality.

- 01What Claude Code isWhat the tool is and where it lives: the CLI in the terminal, the VS Code extension and the app.
- 02Getting startedInstallation, choosing a model, project context and your first commands.
- 03SkillsGive Claude reusable skills for your recurring tasks.
- 04HooksHook in your own steps that run before and after Claude's work.
- 05LoopsLet Claude work iteratively toward a goal, step by step.
- 06Good habitsWays of working that hold up in teams and larger codebases.
More than raising the pace
AI-assisted development isn't just about writing code faster. Claude Code can explore an unfamiliar codebase, write tests, migrate legacy code and automate the routine tasks around the coding itself.
The power comes with structure. With skills, hooks and loops in place, the tool becomes a reliable part of the workflow, and judgement stays with the developer.
After the course you can
- Use Claude Code in the CLI, VS Code and the app
- Set up skills, hooks and loops for your ways of working
- Delegate whole tasks while keeping control and quality
Who the course suits
The course is for developers and other technically curious roles who want to work effectively with AI directly in the code. A developer or systems background is a plus, but creativity and problem-solving skills will take you far without one.
This course suits
- Developers and tech leads
- Teams wanting to standardise AI-assisted coding
- Technically minded roles without deep coding experience
Prerequisites
- No prerequisites required
- Coding, terminal or systems experience is a plus, not a requirement
FAQ about the Claude Code course
No, that's partly the point of coding assistants: they write the code. You talk to Claude Code like a regular chat, whether in the terminal, VS Code or the app. A developer background helps you steer the tool better, but creativity and problem-solving skills will take you far. For teams who want an even softer start, the Navigating Anthropic talk is a good fit.
Absolutely, we recommend it. That makes the exercises directly relevant. We can also use a sample project.
No. The course is about using the tool as an amplifier where the developer keeps judgement and control.
Both work equally well: we come to you or run it remotely. Since the course is hands-on, a group of 10–15 people is optimal.
